Migori County – A 12-year-old Grade 6 student, appearing for this year’s KPSEA examination, was shot dead in Gitembe, Kuria East, Migori county.

How Kuria’s father found out about the death of his 6th grade son

The murder occurred at an altitude of approx Clashes on the Narok-Kuria border which have existed for decades and have claimed 12 lives in the last three months.

“It breaks my heart to see my harmless son killed like this. It hurts me as a father. My son’s only crime was being a Curia,” said Wambura Marwa, the father of the dead boy.

Fighting back tears, Wambura narrated TUKO.co.ke that he learned about his son’s death six hours after the incident.

“The police called us to the police station and said that the attackers had called them to come and take my son’s body, and yet they did not make an arrest. We wonder why… I received the news six hours after my son’s death. I didn’t believe it. from what I saw, his body was in pieces,” Marwa said.

Marwa said his son left at 11 a.m. on Sunday for the border where he met his untimely death.

The family now he wants justice in the face of growing tension between the two communities.

Meanwhile, locals accuse police officers recently stationed at the border of bias and standing aside during raids.

“This isn’t the first time we’ve been killed. These attackers always attack our farms, take our products, go to our homes, steal our animals and kill our people,” said local Magabe Johannes Chacha.

Why are the residents of Kuria dissatisfied with the local authorities

They also accused the local authorities of being passive and ignoring their appeals.

Kuria East MP Kitayama Maisori expressed dissatisfaction with police officers accused of sleeping on their beds works.

“The incident is painful and we want a lasting solution to this border conflict,” he said.

He urged residents to remain calm and not embark on a revenge mission, saying that despite their pain and anger, they should let the law take its course.

“We have had a meeting with both Regional Security Officers and as soon as Parliament resumes, we will be there with the National Security Commission to ensure a lasting solution for our people,” he confirmed.

Migori Deputy Governor Joseph Mahiri urged the national government to take the issue seriously security reports to the national government.

“We have tried with the Migori district governor, but the governor of our neighboring Narok district and the Member of Parliament are reluctant on the issue,” Mahiri said.

Students take a fake KPSEA exam

In other news, chaos broke out at the Silver Bells Academy in Moiben, Uasin Gishu County on Wednesday, October 30, after it emerged that candidates were not registered for the exams.

Moiben County Deputy Commissioner Duncan Okwach stated that the students, unaware of the situation, took fake KPSEA exams.

The school’s principal, Margaret Ingaasi, had earlier alleged that the school’s KPSEA documents were sent to the wrong center.
