Killeen police identify victim in investigation of the city’s 18th murder

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – Killeen police have identified a victim as part of their investigation into the city’s 18th homicide.

Police identified the victim as Anthony Glenn Powell.

Police say that on October 16 at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call regarding a report of a gunshot victim at 800 West Avenue D.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Powell suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said Powell was airlifted to Baylor Scott and White in critical condition and later died from his injuries.

An autopsy was ordered at the Southwestern Institute for Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
