The Edmonton Smoked Brisket Cancer Fundraiser starts November 7

Edmonton’s Don’ya Ukraine’s Kitchen has partnered with Meat Smokehouse to create a limited-edition perogy stuffed with smoked brisket to support advances in breast cancer treatment.

The collaboration between the two local culinary entities began during a chili cook-off event at the recent Canadian Finals Rodeo, where both parties came together.

After the event, Don’ya co-founder Janice Krissa and Meat sous chef Jon Hofmann collaborated to create a special perogy.

The fundraiser will begin with a formal launch on November 7 at Meat, 8216 104 St. in Old Strathcona and runs through January.
