The murder victim is a 27-year-old man

ST. THOMAS — The 6th Police Department confirmed a fatal shooting that occurred late Wednesday morning on the grounds of St. Thomas Hospital. Thomas.

According to the department, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the 911 Emergency Center received multiple notifications through ShotSpotter, VIPD’s gunshot detection system, which recorded five alerts in the area.

Following these alerts, several witnesses called 911 to report a victim with gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services (EMS) responded to the scene and confirmed the person’s death upon arrival.

The victim was identified as as 27-year-old Hasani Parris by next of kin.
