The identity of the man who died in a road accident in Liloan has been established

The man who died in a motorcycle accident on the national highway in Sitio Bahak, Barangay Poblacion, Liloan, Cebu at 4:10 a.m. on Friday, October 25, has been identified.

Police identified the victim as Albert Banawa, 35, a married food delivery app user from Barangay Pitogo in Consolacion, Cebu.

A preliminary investigation by Liloan police under the command of their chief, Major Charlie Santiago, revealed that the victim had traveled further north.

After reaching a blind curve, the victim allegedly swerved into the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming Toyota Hilux driven by one Rico, a 49-year-old married resident of Lower Calajo-an, Minglanilla, Cebu.

As a result, the victim died instantly.

The victim’s body was taken to the Angga Maturan Memorial in Barangay Catarman, Liloan, Cebu.

The driver of the Hilux is currently detained at the Liloan Police Station. (DVG)
