Investigation begins

As soon as news of the incident came to light, police arrived at the scene and began an investigation, questioning residents and checking the area. According to police, preliminary investigation revealed that bus driver Monty had an argument with local youth over an accident on October 21, which likely motivated the attack.

In response, the bus driver, Monty, reported that at 7:40 a.m., while taking the children to school, the attackers started chasing the bus from a kilometer away. Taking advantage of the opportunity, they blocked the bus with a bicycle and opened fire.

The children on board were terrified but were not injured and all were safely returned to their families. The police have registered a complaint and further investigation is underway.
