A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after a serious accident on a road near Bamber Bridge.




Police were called yesterday (October 24) at around 6:35 p.m. after reports of an Audi S3 colliding with a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 30-year-old woman, was taken to hospital, her condition is critical.

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving over the legal limit for cannabis and cocaine and driving under the influence of drugs.

Police are appealing for information and video footage after a woman suffered serious injuries following a collision on Bamber Bridge.

Sgt. Pete Fyans, from Lancashire Police, said: “The collision resulted in a woman being taken to hospital with very serious injuries. Above all, our thoughts are with her during her treatment.

“Although a man has been arrested, our investigation is ongoing and we are asking for your help.

“If you have dashcam or CCTV footage of Tramway Lane between 6.30pm and 6.45pm please contact us. Alternatively, if you have any information that would assist our inquiry, please let us know.
