2 car crashes take one life – Agathequelquejay

Hastings, Mich. (WILX) – The Barry County Sheriff says a 23-year-old Hastings man was killed in a two-car crash Friday afternoon.

Sheriff Leaf says deputies were called to State Road near Wood School Road just after 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.

At this point in the investigation, they believe Tristin Prentice crossed the center line and struck 41-year-old Erin VanSpronen head-on. VanSpronen was taken to hospital, her condition is currently unknown.

The cause of the accident and whether he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs were not established.
