The University of Alabama selects Hannah Adams as its 2024 homecoming queen

The University of Alabama named Hannah Adams its 2024 homecoming queen on Friday night.

The homecoming queen’s announcement was made at UA Square during a pep rally that also included a bonfire and a drone light show.

Adams is a senior from Birmingham who double-majored in political science and public relations through the CREATE Path toward a master’s degree in business administration. Adams’ crown will be awarded during halftime of Saturday afternoon’s Alabama-Missouri football game.

According to UA, Adams is a member of this year’s inaugural class Shelby ScientistsBlackburn Institute and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. She was a childhood cancer survivor and, with her family, founded the nonprofit organization HUGS 4 Childhood Cancer.

“Over the past three years of college, I have developed a deep love and appreciation for the University of Alabama. “From pursuing dual degrees, running my own nonprofit, and working with various university organizations, I hope to connect with and inspire all students to have a heart of service,” Adams said in: press release.

UA reported that 9,776 students voted in the prom queen election.

The rest of the UA homecoming court included:

• Lauren Crawford: senior from Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, majoring in kinesiology with a minor in exercise science

• Reagan Labiak: Senior from High Point, North Carolina, majoring in criminal justice and political science

• Allison Pope: senior from Edmond, Oklahoma, majoring in creative advertising with a minor in cybercriminology
