A crash in Choctaw County killed 77-year-old Silas

Choctaw County, Alabama (WALA) – A 77-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a commercial vehicle, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Patricia K. Lewis, of Silas, Choctaw County, was fatally injured when the 2017 Toyota Camry in which she was a passenger struck a 2006 International tractor-trailer driven by Daniel L. Harvison, 46, of Chatom, ALEA reported.

According to ALEA, the driver of the Toyota, Dean S. Lewis, 80, also of Silas, was injured and taken to Washington County Hospital in Chatom for treatment.

The crash happened around 7.15am on Thursday on Singley Road near Cullomberg Road, about 3km south of Silas.

Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the crash.
