A car theft at Kegworth Coop injured a member of the public

Police said one person was injured after being caught by a car coming from the scene of a shoplifting.

Two people attacked the Coop in Kegworth’s Market Place on Wednesday to steal items, Leicestershire Police said.

As the pair left the scene in an uninsured car without a valid MOT certificate, one person was “caught in” and fell to the ground, causing injuries.

The Valley investigation team said two people were arrested and charged moments later.
