Ahman Patigi, former member of the Nigerian House of Representatives, has died at the age of 59. He represented the Edu/Moro/Patigi federal constituency of Kwara State in three assemblies.

The PDP lost to the “O to get” movement in Kwara

Premium times reported that the O to Get principle led to the loss of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ushered in the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central state.

During the 2019 elections, not only did the PDP lose the governorship, but the ruling party also lost the senatorial, House of Representatives and state seats. House of Assembly seats in the APC.

Outside of politics, Patigi founded the Ahman Patigi University in Patigi Local Government Area. This institution is proof of his commitment education.

Kwara Governor mourns the death of Pategi

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State mourned the death of Patigi and acknowledged the significant impact of his contributions to human capital development and poverty alleviation.

According to the Governor, Patigi’s legacy is defined by his tireless efforts in representation, education and community development, leaving a lasting mark on Kwara State.

His statement reads in part:

“Patigi will be remembered for his many investments that uplifted a variety of people, including those he helped as a legislator and those he helped as a community leader.”

Kwara senator appeals to NDLEA allegations

Legit.ng previously reported that Kwara Senator, Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, accused of storing drugs in his Kwara residence, has reacted harshly NDLEA.

Senator Ashiru asked who was prosecuted over the anti-drug agency finding such an exhibit in his home.

The federal lawmaker then urged the NDLEA to spend time fishing out the bad eggs instead of conducting a media trial.
