Libertyville car crash: Driver killed in multi-vehicle crash at West Winchester Road, North Butterfield Road, police say

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (WLS) — One person died in a three-vehicle crash in the northern suburbs on Friday morning.

Police said the crash occurred around 11:46 a.m. at the intersection of West Winchester Road and North Butterfield Road in Libertyville.

Libertyville police said the crash involved an SUV, a van and a truck.

The driver of the van was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Their age, gender and identity were not immediately known.

No other injuries were initially reported.

The police are still investigating the causes of the accident. Further information was not immediately available.
