Palm Springs police are asking for more information about Saturday’s shooting that left one person injured

According to Palm Springs police, multiple shots were fired during an altercation Saturday morning, sending one person to a local hospital.

Palm Springs Police officers reportedly responded to reports of a shooting at 200 N. Palm Canyon Drive around 1:44 a.m. press release on Facebook.

There was an argument between two victims, whom officers located upon arrival, and other people in the area. The person involved in the incident fired multiple shots at the victims, one of whom was treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg. The injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The suspects fled east down an alley.

The Palm Springs Police Department did not immediately respond to The Desert Sun’s inquiry about the number of people involved in the fight and what led to it.

According to the press release, officers searched the area and interviewed witnesses but did not receive any further information.
