CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A 5-year-old boy has died from injuries he suffered in a drive-by shooting earlier this week.

According to Cincinnati police, 5-year-old artist Stanford III died on October 26.

He was taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital after he was injured in a drive-by shooting on Oct. 24, police said.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. on Holland Drive near Vivian Place in Winton Hills.

Police radio reports indicate that three to four shots were fired into the house.

On Thursday, Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said there were no suspects and they did not know a motive for the drive-by shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.

According to Cincinnati Public Schools, the child was a student at Winton Hills Academy.
