1 person in hospital after a collision between a scooter and a car in a shopping center parking lot

One person is in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after a scooter collided with a vehicle.

The incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at 240 Midpark Way SE, the parking lot of Midnapore Mall.

Calgary Emergency Medical Services say a person on a scooter was taken to Foothills Medical Center in serious, potentially life-threatening condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured.

The police are investigating.
