One person injured after vehicle collides with camper trailer catches fire in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) – A 19-year-old Kalamazoo woman was taken to the hospital after a fiery crash Saturday afternoon in Cass County.

The accident occurred around 1 p.m. on Wood Lake Street. Deputies say the woman was speeding and after going up a hill, she became airborne and lost control of the vehicle.

Her vehicle reportedly left the road, overturned and hit an unoccupied caravan used as a warehouse.

Fire deputies say both the vehicle and the travel trailer burst into flames.

Drugs and/or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this accident.
