Police in Uttar Pradesh found a woman’s body near the bungalow of a Kanpur district magistrate, four months after she was allegedly murdered.

The Uttar Pradesh Police recovered the body of a woman near the bungalow of a Kanpur district magistrate, four months after she was allegedly murdered following a heated argument with a gym trainer.

The woman went missing on June 24, and a preliminary police investigation confirmed that she was dead. The recovery came after the police arrested the accused, identified as Vimal Soni.

An accused gym trainer in the Green Park area has pleaded guilty to murder and revealed that he buried the body of a businessman’s wife in an area that included bungalows allocated to government officials.

Soni, a resident of Raipurwa area of ​​Kanpur, informed the police about the spot where the body was found after digging the ground.

What led to the quarrel between the two?

During interrogation, Soni informed the police that the two were in a relationship and the woman was unhappy after his marriage was finalized.

On the day of the crime, she was at the gym and the two went to the car to talk. An argument soon broke out, during which the gym trainer hit her in the neck, after which she fainted. He then allegedly murdered her.

After the incident, the woman’s husband, Rahul Gupta, filed a missing person complaint, prompting the police to launch an investigation. Police said different teams have been sent to Pune, Agra and Punjab to conduct investigation.

Further investigation into the matter, registered at Kotwali Police Station, is underway and police teams are investigating all aspects of the case.
