Telangana: Police raid on farm allegedly linked to KTR’s relative; seize cocaine, alcohol – Telangana News

Over 30 people, including 14 women, were detained during a raid by police and excise officials on a farmhouse allegedly linked to former Telangana minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) in Rangareddy district. They were arrested for serving alcohol without a license and for suspected drug use.

Acting on a tip-off, police and excise officials raided a farm in Janwada area of ​​Hyderabad and seized seven imported liquor bottles containing 10.5 liters of alcohol and 10 bottles of Indian-made liquor, which were reportedly served without permission, police said . .

According to police, officers conducted drug tests on party participants and one person, identified as Vijay Madduri, tested positive for cocaine. Madduri was then taken to hospital for further tests.

A case has been registered against Madduri at the Rangareddy local police station under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, particularly Section 27.

Further, a separate case was filed against the farm owner under relevant sections of the Telangana Excise Act for serving liquor without permission.

Earlier last week, in a similar operation, the Hyderabad police arrested over 100 people, including 42 women, after raiding a pub based on information about illegal activities, particularly inappropriate dance performances.

Acting on a tip-off, the Hyderabad Police on Friday raided TOS Pub in Banjara Hills, arresting 140 people allegedly involved in obscene dance performances, the Hyderabad Police said in a press release.
