Police in Mexico are investigating a shooting that left one person injured

MEXIA, Texas (KWTX) – The Mexia Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured Saturday afternoon.

Police say the shooting occurred on Oct. 26 around 2:20 p.m. at the Valero gas station near the intersection of East Milam Street and North Bailey Street.

According to police, there was a clash between the passengers of two different vehicles, resulting in multiple shots being fired.

Police said one person involved in the incident was injured in the shooting and is currently in hospital in stable condition.

Police say other people involved in the incident fled the scene.

According to the police, the vehicles and weapons used in the incident were seized and treated as evidence.
