A serious accident is causing major delays in Pakenham

Two people are fighting for their lives after a serious accident on the outskirts of Melbourne.

The silver Audi is believed to have overturned and hit a utility pole after colliding with another SUV on the Princes Highway near Windermere Boulevard in Pakenham just after 4pm.

Emergency services remain at the scene of the accident, two people from the same vehicle were taken to hospital in a critical condition, and a third was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
