Boy, 14, seriously injured in hit-and-run in Illingworth

A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in an accident in West Yorkshire.

West Yorkshire Police said the teenager was crossing Raw Lane in Illingworth on Friday evening when he was hit by a car.

Police said the vehicle was turning left onto Raw Lane from Keighley Road at around 7.15pm GMT and the boy suffered several injuries, including a broken arm.

Police said the car, possibly a black Range Rover, did not stop at the scene and anyone who witnessed the incident or had video footage of the vehicle asked to contact police.
