A man pleads guilty to manslaughter in connection with a death on Courtenay Place

A man charged with manslaughter in connection with the fatal attack on Courtenay Place in Wellington last month has pleaded guilty.

Luke Smith was attacked in the entertainment strip in the early morning hours of Sunday, October 6.

He died after life support was disconnected.

Siale Siale pleaded guilty to the charges in a manslaughter case in the Supreme Court in Wellington on Friday morning.

He will be sentenced on February 20.
