According to NBC10 Boston, Justin Vose, 42, of Bedford, was charged with three counts of kidnapping after allegations of inappropriate conduct at work came to light.

According to the TV station, Vose works as a contract bus driver for the Newton Early Education Childhood Program and Newton Public Schools for JCS Transportation.

According to the news outlet, Vose was originally placed under investigation on May 28 after one of the students he picked up got a late ride.

According to prosecutors, Vose allegedly entered the parking lot, but instead of going straight to the drop-off point, he spent time in a secluded area, NBC10 reports.

After tracking the bus’s GPS location, officers found that Vose allegedly repeatedly transported the children, aged 3 to 5, to isolated locations and turned off the bus’s audio and video recording for 20 minutes, the news station reported. .

NBC10 says it was not approved by the school district, the children’s parents or the bus company.

According to prosecutors, all of the children involved in these charges have communication problems or are partially non-verbal.

Prosecutors cannot say with certainty what happened while audio and video recording was turned off. However, according to the news station, a search of Vose’s phone revealed that he had been taking photos with children.

Vose was arraigned Friday in Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn. He was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and bail was set at $1,000.
