McGregor was accused of “brutally raping and beating” Nikita Hand at the Beacon Hotel in the south Dublin but he insisted that they have consensual sex.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, who has been locked in a war of words with McGregor for almost four years, reached out to X in a now-deleted post to share his thoughts.

He wrote: “Dana (White) hits his wife, Conor is convicted of rape but I’m the bad guy?”

And surprisingly, just hours after hearing the jury’s verdict, McGregor replied: “No, you’re a little gay nerd.”

Paul’s inclusion in the UFC supremo Dana White during the McGregor dig, he referred to the video MMA Mogul hitting his wifeAnne, after a heated argument in a nightclub on New Year’s Eve 2022.

White apologized profusely for his actions and said: “You won’t recover from this. You’ll never recover from this.

“Like I said, for the rest of my life – however long it is – people are going to label me like this.”

McGregor (36) was ordered to pay compensation of £206,000 (€250,000) to Ms Hand.

Does Conor McGregor have a chance to continue his UFC career?

FORMER UFC champion Conor McGregor attacked a woman who accused him of raping her in a Dublin hotel, a civil court jury found on Friday.

The 36-year-old was accused of “brutally raping and beating” Nikita Hand in December 2018.

He will now have to pay Ms Hand €248,603.60 in compensation.

Despite losing the case, McGregor announced an appeal.

The Irishman’s future in MMA and UFC is now in doubt. He has not appeared in the Octagon since July 2021, when he broke his leg and was stopped in the fight against Dustin Poirier.

Here’s what SunSport’s Chief MMA Reporter, Chisanga Malata I had this to say about this situation…

“The ruling, which came in a civil rather than a criminal court, has given the UFC perhaps the biggest headache in its 31-year history. MMA bosses will now have to make a big decision regarding their poster boy.

“Personally, I think he will fight again. There is a precedent for this. Just look at the man who fought Jake Paul last week.

“Of course, I’m talking about former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, who was imprisoned for rape in the 1990s. He came out and went on to have a successful career, earning millions of pounds, before retiring in 2005.

“Unfortunately, there is precedent for this. But the UFC now has a big decision to make. Like I said, I think he will fight again. I think they are sticking to the plan announced last week at the UFC 309 post-fight press conference to fight him in late 2025.

“They may have said that an end of 2025 would be set pending this ruling, which would not go against McGregor and give him some time for this situation to subside – even though something on this scale can never, ever end.

“I believe McGregor will fight again unless Dana White and all the investors make a sensational decision and finish off their poster boy. However, I just don’t see that happening and I can see him returning to the Octagon at the end of next year.

“You will have to ask questions of the UFC, and rightly so. But it’s more about the man himself, Mr. McGregor.”

But the former two-division champion did announced he would appeal against the verdict.

He wrote on the website X: “I will appeal against today’s decision.

Connor McGregor was seen in court after receiving his guilty verdict

“The judge’s order and the modest award were for assault, not aggravated or exemplary damages.

“I am disappointed that the jury did not hear all the evidence assessed by the DPP.

“I’m with my family now, focused on myself future.

“Thank you to all my support around the world.”

His defiant statement came after he refused to speak to waiting media as he left the Supreme Court with his fiancée Dee DevlinWho he was in tears.

McGregor has not set foot in the UFC octagon since breaking his leg in his trilogy fight Dustin Poirier over three years ago.
