2 people injured, 1 dead after two-car accident in Sweet Home

SWEET HOME Ore. (KPTV) – One person was killed and two injured in a two-car head-on collision near milepost 16 on Highway 228 on Friday around 5 p.m.

One person, a passenger in the car, suffered significant damage to the driver’s side, was taken to hospital, but will probably survive.

WSP reported Thursday morning that heavy and dangerous objects were thrown from the I-205 overpass at 4th Plain Boulevard and struck several people’s cars.

The body of the driver of the same car was found at the scene.

The second driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

LifeFlight was requested to assist with the crash, but was unable to fly due to the weather.
