Jussie Smollett ‘The Strikers’ want another Jake Paul fight

Jussie Smollett his conviction for allegedly organizing a fake hate crime was overturned, but his confessed accomplices laughed at the thought of the actor’s innocence.

Brethren Ola Osundairo AND I hurt, Osundaira joined NewsNation Dan Abramsfounder of Mediaite, on Friday to discuss Smollett’s latest case. Smollett was convicted of allegedly orchestrating a hate crime in 2019 in which he claimed that in the early morning hours in Chicago, two men dressed in MAGA hats attacked him, put a noose around his neck and shouted “MAGA country.”

The Illinois Supreme Court overturned Smollett’s conviction after Smollett’s legal team argued that the conviction was invalid because it was contrary to the original agreement. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office dropped the initial charges. A special prosecutor later reopened the case, resulting in Smollett facing five convictions in 2021.

Smollett he lost his appearance in the TV series Empire shortly after critics began pointing out holes in his claims.

Prosecutors said the overturning of his conviction did not reflect his guilt in the original crime. The Supreme Court noted that many viewed the original withdrawal of charges as “unfair.”

Their opinion reads: :

We are aware that this case aroused great public interest and that many people were dissatisfied with the outcome of the original case, considering it unfair. Nevertheless, it would be more unfair than the outcome of any single criminal case for this court to find that the state is not obliged to honor agreements on which people have relied to their detriment.

“The Illinois Supreme Court found no error in the overwhelming evidence presented at trial that Mr. Smollett staged a false hate crime and reported it to the Chicago Police Department as an actual hate crime, or in the jury’s unanimous verdict that Mr. Smollett was guilty of five “charges of disturbing public order” Dan Webbwho was appointed by a Cook County judge to continue hearing the case after the charges were dropped, the wa added statement.

The Osundairo brothers have repeatedly detailed their involvement in Smollett’s deed, including: Fox Nation special. According to their testimony, they were paid $3,500 to make the “attack” look real. Investigators also found surveillance footage showing the brothers purchasing all the items related to the fake hate crime.

The brothers joined Abrams on Friday, and Abrams immediately noticed that Ola Osundairo’s choice of headgear was a version of the MAGA hat they sell. They also wrote a book titled Bigger than Jussie.

“When you listened to this account from Jussie again, and I’ve heard it many times, I’m sure you’ve heard it too, but every time I hear it, I still think it’s amazing. What is your reaction when you listen to it today?” Abrams asked.

“My reaction is that Jesse is a great actor. He’s good at what he does. And people really believe him. And I guess that’s what makes a good actor when people don’t know you’re acting. But every time I listen and hear him, I am disappointed because he does not and cannot tell the truth,” Bola Osundairo said.

Ola Osundairo stated that the court’s decision was ultimately “right” but maintained that Smollett was guilty.

“My reaction to the court’s ruling was that it made sense. “The real injustice in this case was the sweetheart deal that (Cook County State’s Attorney) Kim Foxx gave him that allowed him to go on and profess his innocence,” he said.

“What happened was he ran away and rode off into the sunset (after the charges were dropped) where he said I wouldn’t be my mother’s child if I did what they said. Well, we suppose you are not your mother’s child because you did this,” Bola Osundairo added.

“Is he still pointing the finger at you guys at this point?” Abrams asked.

“So he never came out and said we did it, but the police said and knew we did it. So he said he was really attacked, so now he says it’s us. You know, he is not, he never came out and said directly that it was Ola and Bola,” Bola told Osundairo.

“Do you hate black people like Jussie Smollett?” Abrams asked, laughing.

“I hate them,” Ola Osundairo joked.

“I guess he hates them,” his laughing brother added.

– Because obviously that’s what a striker is like, right? I mean, the attacker was a racist. Normal. I. And you are obviously the ones on the recording, you were definitely there. So I guess you guys are the biggest racists?” Abrams asked.

“Trump’s racist White MAGA supporters. I mean, that’s the narrative. He is white,” Bola Osundairo joked about his brother. – Can’t he pass for a White guy?

“I think I could do pretty well,” his brother said.

As the pair announced that they were ready to leave, Ola Osundairo revealed that Bola Osundairo wants to step into the ring with Jake Paulwith whom he is fresh from a fight Mike Tyson.

“We’re really, really looking forward to putting this all behind us. How much time has passed? Four or five years. Basically, we just want to pursue our acting and boxing careers. My brothers should fight Jake Paul soon,” said Ola Osundairo.

“Yes, I hope that if he agrees to fight, I will fight Jake Paul,” his brothers added, saying they didn’t want their “mistake” to “define” them.
