Police are looking for a suspect in an attempted sexual assault on a woman in Central Park

NEW YORK – Police are looking for a man who allegedly attacked a woman and attempted to sexually assault her in Central Park.

The incident occurred on Saturday around 5:10 a.m

According to police, the man approached a 38-year-old woman, pushed her over a metal fence, punched her repeatedly in the face, and then tried to rape her.

Police said the man then fled the scene on a bicycle northbound on 5th Avenue.

The woman was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital, her condition is stable.
