One person is dead following a suspected DUI crash in Science Hill

SCIENCE HILL, Ky. (WKYT) – One person is dead following a DUI crash on Science Hill.

Kentucky State Police said that just after midnight, a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Kayleigh J. Dismuke, 19, of Eubank, was traveling northbound on U.S. 27 when her vehicle struck a moped.

The driver of the moped, Dino R. Collins, 31, of Cincinnati, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Dismuke was arrested and charged with DUI vehicular manslaughter, first-degree operating a motor vehicle under the influence, failure to wear a seat belt and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the crash.
