At around 2.55am we were called to Terrace Walk in Bath to reports of a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Officers arrived at the scene within three minutes of receiving the call and, along with other residents, immediately provided first aid.

The victim was taken to hospital where his condition is critical but stable and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. His immediate family has been notified.

An investigation was conducted to identify suspects, and two people were confirmed present at approximately 4:30 a.m.

An 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, a 19-year-old was detained on suspicion of assisting the perpetrator. Both remain in police custody pending the conclusion of the investigation.
