Southlake shooting suspect faces additional charges

Sean Jordan was arrested. Now he will be charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. Police say additional charges have been brought against him pending the outcome of the investigation.

SOUTHLAKE, Texas – Suspect in the center of A shooting near Central Market in Southlake he heard two new charges.

Police say 19-year-old Sean Wallace Jordan was driving the wrong way on Southlake Boulevard Friday morning when he hit multiple cars.

When a Southlake police officer arrived on the scene, Jordan allegedly pulled a rifle from his van and began shooting at the other driver and the officer.

In surveillance footage from stores near the scene, someone can be heard shouting “he’s got a gun!”

Security cameras outside the Markham Fine Jewelers store captured video of the shooting in Southlake Friday morning. Police reported that no one was hurt and the suspect was arrested.

Police confirmed that an officer who responded to the scene returned fire. No one was hit or injured by the gunfire.

Jordan was initially charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

Court records show he has since been charged with aggravated assault on a public servant and resisting arrest.

He is being held in the Tarrant County Jail on $271,500 bail.

The motive for the shooting has not been revealed.
