A 29-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident near Rome

A 29-year-old motorcyclist died as a result of an accident that occurred this afternoon on the border between the commune of Rome and the commune of Rome Pomezia. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m., when, for reasons that are under investigation, two passenger cars and a motorcycle collided on Via della Solfarata, near civic number 43. Local police patrols from the Eur group and 118 paramedics intervened on site. However, there was nothing that could be done for the 29-year-old of Romanian origin, driving from Castelli towards Pomezia.

What happened

The driver of one of the two cars was a 71-year-old Italian woman for whom routine tests were ordered and, due to her injuries, she was transported under the yellow code to the Sant’Eugenio hospital. The driver of the second car, a 54-year-old Italian, was not injured. Thanks to this, the officers were able to perform an alcohol test on the spot, which gave a negative result. Research is still ongoing to recreate the exact dynamics of the accident.
