Moana 2 UK release date: Can you sing during the film in the cinema?

Dwayne Johnson encouraged audiences to sing along during screenings of his new film “Moana 2,” sparking a debate about moviegoing etiquette.

The Rock, as he is often called, spoke on the red carpet on Sunday about the film in which he once again plays the gentle giant Maui.

“Especially if you love music, that’s what’s fun” – The Rock he told BBC News.

The latest edition of Wicked sparked a debate on social media about whether it is appropriate to sing during movies. Some argue that singing disrupts the experience of others, while others believe that fans should be free to express their joy however they wish.

However, Johnson, 52, has made his views on film mannerisms clear.

“Sing! You paid your hard-earned money for a ticket and went to see a musical – and it turns you on. Sing,” he said.

On Sunday, Dwayne Johnson will arrive in central London for the UK premiere of “Moana 2.”

Is it allowed to sing in the cinema?

In the UK, singing to films is generally discouraged as it has long been viewed negatively. However, there are no laws specifically prohibiting singing in cinemas.

That said, some theaters enforce a “no singing” policy during certain showings, especially for mainstream releases or during more serious films.

Eventually, Moana returns Te Fiti’s heart, breaking the curse and restoring prosperity to her island. She also embraces her role as leader, carrying on the legacy of her ancestors, and through this, the traveling traditions of her people are restored. The film is a celebration of courage, identity and the power of the ocean.

Released in November 2016, the film was a huge success, grossing $643 million (£511 million) worldwide and was nominated for two awards Academy Awards.

Moana 2 takes place three years after the events of the first film, and Moana now embarks on a new adventure in response to the “call” of her navigational ancestors.

In the trailer, Moana tells her younger sister the story of the heart of Te Fiti before setting off on a journey to the “distant seas of Oceania” and dangerous, long-lost waters. This quest is described as an adventure unlike anything she has faced before.

Additionally, Moana 2 will feature 16 new songs, including two previously introduced ones –We are back AND Apart from — and a new song for Maui.

Disney said, “Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later on an expansive new journey with a crew of extraordinary sailors.”

The film’s screenwriter, Jared Bush, previously said: “This movie is so much bigger than the first movie. There is so much more to tell in the story of Moana and Maui, as well as all the new crew that shows up.

“We have an amazing new collection of songs that tell a story – emotions, fun songs, a new song from Maui that is absolutely amazing.

“And then we have the amazing antagonist, which is the incredible storm you mentioned in our trailer… it’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen.

“Our team is just blowing everyone’s doors off and we’re having a blast doing it.”

In addition to The Rock, who will reprise his role as Maui, Auli’i Cravalho will reprise his role as Moana.

Dave Derrick Jr, who worked on the original film as a storyboard artist, will direct Moana 2, with songs written by Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina.

The good news is that the new film will be released in the UK on Friday. November 29.
