Fans of Ghana Premier League team Aduana Stars allegedly engaged in a heated confrontation with referees during their match against Asante Kotoko.

The two-time Ghana Premier League champions lost 2-0 to Porcupine Warriors at Dormaa Ahenkro.

Some fans, dissatisfied with the referees’ behavior in the first half, followed the referees to their toilets to attack them.

In the video shared on social mediafans can be seen trying to abuse the referees, but they were stopped by security.

This led to a delay in the start of the second half of the Ghana Premier League match at the Nana Ageyemang Badu Park Stadium.

The defeat leaves Aduana Stars in 14th place with 11 points, which leaves 16th-placed Vision FC in the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko ended a four-match winless streak with a 2-0 away win.

Porcupine Warriors will welcome Hearts of Oak to Obuasi in the Super Clash next Sunday.

Aduana Stars have fired coach Yaw Acheampong

As reported by the Ogya Lads website, after the defeat against Asante Kotoko, Ogya Lads dismissed coach Yaw Acheampong. Ghana Soccernet.

The former champions have been struggling since the start of the new season and are prematurely approaching relegation.

Aduana have come close to winning the title over the past two seasons and their early form required the dismissal of Acheampong, the former Ghana international.

The club had not yet announced his successor before his departure to Berekum Chelsea next week.

Kotoko defeated Aduana in Dormaa

Before, YEN.com.gh reported it Kumasi Asante Kotoko ended a series of four defeats in a row in good style following their 2-0 victory over Aduana FC on Sunday at Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Patrick Asiedu set the tone early, breaking the deadlock in the 10th minute with a spectacular free-kick that bounced off the underside of the crossbar and into the net.

The goal brought relief to Kotoko fans, with Asiedu running to the touchline to celebrate with under-pressure head coach Prosper Ogum.
