Vehicle accident on US-50 E, two people injured

WALKER, Va. (WTAP) – According to Wood Co. 911 Dispatch, as of 8:03 a.m. Monday, several calls were received regarding a possible entrapment crash on US-50 near mile marker 22.5.

Sheriff Wood Co. Rick Woodyard says the accident occurred near Quarry Run Rd. in Wood Co. near the Wood and Ritchie County line.

Sheriff Woodyard says the vehicle went off the road 30 feet past the guardrail.

As a result of the collision, two people were injured and transported to hospital.

The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Agencies that responded to the crash included the Deerwalk Fire Department, Wood Co. Sheriff’s Office. and Camden Clark EMS.
