A 20-year-old man has been identified as one of two men shot dead in a derelict house in Birmingham

One of two men found shot dead in a derelict house in the Inglenook area of ​​Birmingham has been identified.

On Monday, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Michael Allen Carroll. He was 20 years old and lived in Center Point.

Officers from the Eastern Police Station responded shots were fired around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the 4400 block of 41st Place North, cried Officer Truman Fitzgerald.

Officers went to the back of the abandoned house, where they found a man shot and lying unconscious in the driveway.

This victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Then, after searching the area, police found the second victim, Carroll, in the house.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a third man who was detained by authorities.

Officers arriving at the scene noticed a fourth man walking in the area and also detained him, Fitzgerald added.

Both men were committed to Birmingham City Prison with a 48-hour remand. It was not immediately clear whether any charges were filed against them.

The stolen vehicle was recovered at the scene.

Carroll was one of them four men shot within about four hours on Thursday and died.
