A Cleveland man wanted for rape is now behind bars

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A 56-year-old Cleveland man accused of rape and assault is currently being held on $100,000 bail at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center.

He is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court on December 9 for a pretrial hearing.

In July 2023, Mendenhall pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated assault in an unrelated case.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Cassandra Collier-Williams sentenced him to one year of probation.
