Hitman creator withdraws Conor McGregor DLC after verdict in sexual assault case

McGregor showed up Hitman as part of the Elusive Target mission launched in June. He returned to play on November 15 as part of a limited-time event that was scheduled to last until December 8. Players were tasked with killing McGregor’s character, known as the Disruptor, while he was preparing for an MMA fight.

“In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has decided to immediately cease cooperation with the athlete” – – the developer announced in a post on social media. “We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its consequences. As a result, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our stores starting today.”

IO Interactive has already withdrawn the $4.99 Disruptor DLC from console stores and the Epic Games Store. The package is here still listed on Steam as of this writing.
