“She loved seeing the bag full of trash and the clean park,” he said.

“Since her death, we have been looking for ways to honor her legacy.

“And the fact that it brings friends, family and strangers together, it shines a light on us and it’s just wonderful to be here.”

Matilda suffered from an undiagnosed heart condition called arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC), which Pritchard said showed no symptoms until she died in her sleep.

According to the NHS, ARVC is a rare disease with an estimated incidence of at least one in 5,000.

Funds raised from the photo of the litter will be donated to the Eco-Schools Keep Britain Tidy program, which teaches children how to look after their local environment and make a difference to the place they live in, which Mr Pritchard says is his daughter’s passion.
