The person who died in a car and pedestrian crash in east Topeka has been identified

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The deceased was identified in: a a car and pedestrian accident that occurred on November 20 in East Topeka.

According to the Topeka Police Department, the deceased was identified as Emmett Leatherwood, 72, of Topeka.

On Wednesday, November 20, officers from ul Topeka Police Department responded at approximately 6:01 p.m. to a reported accident involving injuries involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near the 1900 block of SE Adams in Topeka, KS.

AMR took the man to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

All people involved were accounted for.

The investigation is ongoing.
