The coroner has identified the victim in a fatal crash in Anderson Friday evening

ANDERSON, Calif. — The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in a crash on Dersch Road Friday evening.

The accident occurred on Dersch Road, near Leopard Drive, at around 10.30pm on Friday evening, November 22. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said emergency personnel pronounced the sole passenger in the crash dead. The driver was identified as Robert Wayne Breedlove, 72, of Shingletown, according to the coroner’s office.

The CHP and coroner’s office are actively investigating the incident. The coroner’s office said an autopsy has been scheduled.

CHP officials suspect alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
