Three people were hospitalized after a driver allegedly failed to stop for a school bus and hit a student crossing the street in Paulding Co.

AUGLAIZE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) – A woman and two students were taken to the hospital after a crash in Paulding County Monday morning.

The accident occurred on November 25 at approximately 7:33 a.m. on County Road 209 near Township Road 184 in Auglaize Township.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Paulding Elementary Village Schools bus was stopped in the southbound lane, its red lights flashing as it was carrying students.

At the same time, a 26-year-old Cloverdale woman allegedly failed to stop for a school bus, collided with a student crossing the street, then collided with the bus before running off the left side of the road.

The woman, a student crossing the street and a student on the bus were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
