A Sunrise Beach man was killed in a head-on crash in Camden County

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – One person was killed following a two-car crash in Camden County on Monday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident Reportthe crash occurred around 4 p.m. on Route F near Rockdale Drive.

After exiting the curve, the Dodge Journey crossed the middle of the road and hit a Chrysler Town & Country head-on.

The driver of the Journey, a 37-year-old Sunrise Beach man, died at the scene. A 12-year-old girl who was traveling in the van was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the van suffered moderate injuries and another teenager in the van suffered minor injuries.

This will be MSHP Troop F’s 47th fatal accident in 2024.

The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District provided an update on the road closure while the accident is investigated.
