Man seriously injured in Bridgeport crash – NBC Connecticut

A man suffered serious injuries after a hit-and-run in Bridgeport last week.

Dispatchers received several reports of a collision with a pedestrian on Friday around 6:30 p.m

The report indicated that a pedestrian had been hit at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and State Street Extension.

Emergency services who arrived at the scene found an unconscious man on the ground.

A 44-year-old Bridgeport man was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. Currently, his condition is described as critical.

According to investigators, the man was at the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Fairfield Avenue and then fled the scene.
