Three injured, two seriously in Alexandria in Glebe Road accident





ALEXANDRIA, VA — An overnight crash on Glebe Road in Alexandria Sunday evening sent three people to the hospital and two people with serious injuries, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

The accident occurred on Sunday around 11.30pm between Mt Vernon Avenue and Russell Road. The arriving emergency services found that three people were injured, two of whom required immediate transport to hospital due to serious injuries.

Authorities have not yet released details on what caused the collision because the investigation is ongoing.

The Glebe road was closed for several hours following the accident, but shortly after 2am police announced the scene had been cleared and all lanes had reopened.
