State Patrol identifies victim of fatal crash near Brainerd Airport – Brainerd Dispatch

BRAINERD — The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the person killed in a fatal head-on crash Monday, Nov. 25, on Highway 210 near Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport.

The victim was Pamela Jean Beebe, 67, of Brainerd, according to the State Patrol.

The State Patrol responded to the crash at 7:23 a.m. in Oak Lawn Township, north of Brainerd. According to the crash report, a 2022 Ram 2500 was traveling westbound on the highway when it began to skid and entered the eastbound lane, striking a 2020 Honda CR-V head-on. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch adjacent to the east gate of Brainerd Airport.

The driver of the Dodge, Donald James Want, 47, of Deerwood, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Health-St. Józef Medical Center.

The state patrol said the road was covered in snow and ice at the time of the crash.

The Brainerd Fire Department, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and North Memorial Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories titled “personnel.” Often the title “staff” is used when transcribing basic news from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, that require little or no reporting. Sometimes this signature is used when an article has multiple authors or when the article is created by combining previously reported news from different sources. If external sources are used, this is noted in the story.
