Why prosecutors charged Liam Payne’s friend Roger Nores with ‘abandonment’

Why prosecutors charged Liam Payne’s friend Roger Nores with ‘abandonment’

Details have emerged explaining why prosecutors are investigating Liam Paynedeath, they regard his friend, Roger Nores, as the person they intend to bring to justice.

Previous reports indicated that they planned to charge Nores with “abandonment” along with additional suspects in the case who allegedly supplied Payne with drugs.

Reports also indicate that Nores was in Argentina with Liam Payne, although they were in different locations.

According to documents obtained by TMZPayne’s friend Nores was responsible for the singer’s care, but apparently neglected to ensure he stayed away from drugs and avoided situations in which he might be tempted to use them.

In the lawsuit, prosecutors alleged that Payne texted Nores: “Can you get 6 grams?” probably referring to cocaine on the day of his death.

They also stated that Nores knew that Payne had invited hookers to his hotel room that same day, alleging that at 7 a.m. the singer texted his friend saying, “Dude, I think I’m gonna fuck a whore.”

When the prostitutes reportedly arrived, Payne allegedly asked them for cocaine, though it is unclear whether she provided it.

By the time Nores returned later that day, Payne was “visibly drunk” and had dilated pupils. However, instead of staying and making sure the singer was okay, Nores simply paid the hookers and left. He checked on Payne via text message, but Payne did not respond.

Sources close to Nores appear to dispute the contents of the documents, saying Nores checked on Payne at least three times on the day of his death.

They also mentioned that Nores had left Payne just an hour before his fatal fall from the balcony, and at that time the singer appeared to be in good health and showed no signs of being under the influence.

While prosecutors believed Nores should be charged with abandonment, it appears that won’t happen as a judge ruled that any case involving alleged abandonment should be handled by local prosecutors, not the state prosecutors who brought the charges.

The decision was based on the judge’s belief that state prosecutors were not competent to pursue abandonment.

Although national prosecutors tried to appeal the verdict, it was rejected, meaning charges will now only be pursued if they are handled by local prosecutors.

“I never left Liam. I stayed at his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before the event,” Nores said Daily mail.

He added: “When I left, there were over 15 people in the hotel lobby talking and joking with him. I never imagined something like this would happen.”

“I wasn’t Liam’s manager, he was just a very dear friend of mine,” Nores added. “I am truly devastated by this tragedy and miss my friend every day.”

As the investigation into Payne’s death unfolded, reports emerged that the singer had apparently been trying to leave his hotel room via a third-floor balcony when he fell to his death.

Before his fall, Payne was brought to his room by hotel staff because he was reportedly behaving “erratically” in the main part of the building. TMZ.

Apparently Payne wasn’t comfortable being locked up, he tried to escape through the balcony, which wasn’t the first time he had done something like that in the places he stayed.

The theory was further supported by the fact that Payne was found with a hat on his head and a bag on his shoulder – items he was not wearing when he was taken to the room, as confirmed by surveillance footage from the lobby.
