Officials say a woman died after hitting a plane’s propeller while taking photos

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH/Gray News) – A Kansas woman died after she rear-ended a moving plane propeller while taking photos, according to officials.

According to Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter, 37-year-old Amanda Gallagher was photographing people boarding and disembarking planes at the Air Capital Drop Zone when she backed into the plane’s active propeller.

When emergency services arrived, she was unresponsive and was taken to hospital, where she later died from her injuries.– KWCH reported.

Gallagher’s family founded the company GoFundMe help cover the costs of her funeral.

Gallagher was described as a kind, adventurous, creative and beautiful man inside and out.
