2 people dead after a motorcycle accident

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Two people died as a result of a motorcycle accident that occurred on Sunday in Helena.

According to Helena PD, a motorcycle collided with a vehicle on Highway 95 in the area of Riva Ridge Road.

Authorities say two motorcyclists were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Authorities say Highway 95 has reopened after an extended period of closure.

Shelby County Traffic Homicide Police are investigating the crash.
