Paul Bissonette – former Arizona Coyotes hockey player, also known as “Biz” – was attacked in a bar in Scottsdale, Arizona. Bissonnette, 39, broke his silence about the brawl on social media video on Tuesday, November 26.

In a recording he shared via X, the “Spittin’ Chiclets” podcast co-host noted that the men who attacked him were “just bad dudes” and were “too drunk,” adding: “I’m very, very angry about these guys and I want their names to be visible.”

Last weekend, Bissonnette went out to dinner at a local restaurant in Scottsdale, which he says he visits “three (or) four times a week.”

“At one point there was a bit of a commotion in the bar,” Bissonette said in his X (formerly known as Twitter) video, which was shared on Monday, November 25. “It was a bunch of drunk golfers. Things apparently continued to escalate. (They asked) one guy to leave and one of them kept getting in the manager’s face and putting his hands on him. And it lasted probably about 30, 45 seconds.

Upon seeing the group harassing the restaurant manager, Bissonnette stated that he “just grabbed the guy’s arm” and told him, “Sir, if you keep harassing and attacking the staff, we’re going to have problems.” At that point, the group of golfers “started giggling,” Biz said.

“The situation escalated extremely quickly,” the NHL alum explained, adding that he argued with men in the restaurant and in the parking lot. “I got knocked down a few times. I was hit on the head with a shoe three times.

Although he didn’t “get knocked out,” Bissonnette had to go to the hospital. So he wanted to explain to his followers that he was physically fine and emphasize that he wanted the attackers to be exposed.

“Just bad guys. Way too drunk and I don’t know what else they had in their system,” Bissonnette explained. “But yes, I am very, very angry at these guys, I want their names revealed and I want them to pay the piper.”

Bissonnette suffered minor injuries from the fight, which he showed on camera in his video X. Two scratches were visible on both sides of his face.
